Position statement of the UXQB on AI

The UXQB’s new AI Position Statement highlights how artificial intelligence is reshaping the role of UX professionals: from hands-on creators to critical evaluators of AI-generated outputs. While AI brings speed and scale to user research, user requirements engineering and prototyping, it also raises new challenges around trust, transparency, ethics, and control.

The message is clear: human-centred design remains essential. UX professionals must use AI critically, treat its outputs as drafts, and continue to rely on their expertise, curiosity, and judgement.

At the same time, UXQB is evolving – updating its curricula and ethical frameworks to ensure the UX community is prepared for an AI-driven future.
